How to Apply for Learner's Licence Online

Here is the standard procedure to apply online using the Parivahan portal:

  1. Go to sarathi.parivahan.gov.in and select your State.
  2. Click on **"Apply for Learner Licence"** from the home screen.
  3. Select **"Applicant does not hold any Driving/Learner License"** and click submit.
  4. Use **Aadhaar Authentication** (Highly Recommended: saves you a visit to the physical RTO!).
  5. Fill out your personal details, qualifications, and choose the vehicle category (e.g. LMV for Cars, MCWG for Motorcycles).
  6. Upload files (Age proof & Address proof) and pay the LL fees online.
  7. Book your test slot (if taking at the RTO) or take the online **Contactless LL Test** using facial verification from home.
