How to Download Vehicle RC Online PDF

Download Digital Copy of RC Book

Do you need a PDF copy of your Registration Certificate (RC)? Learn the official methods to securely download your vehicle RC using DigiLocker or the official portal.

Method 1: Download RC PDF via DigiLocker (Recommended)

DigiLocker is a highly secure government platform. Under IT Act, digital documents issued on DigiLocker are legally identical to physical smart cards:

  1. Download the DigiLocker app or log in at **digilocker.gov.in**.
  2. Sign in using your Aadhaar or mobile number.
  3. Go to the **"Search Documents"** menu and type "Registration of Vehicles".
  4. Select **"Ministry of Road Transport and Highways"**.
  5. Input your **Vehicle Registration Number** and the **Chassis Number** (Full or last 5 digits).
  6. Click **"Get Document"**. Your verified RC PDF will be generated instantly and saved in your "Issued Documents" folder for free download.

Method 2: Fetch RC Online via Parivahan Vahan Portal

You can also download a copy directly from the Vahan service desk:

  1. Go to vahan.parivahan.gov.in.
  2. Select your State and RTO where the vehicle was registered.
  3. Navigate to the **"Download Document"** menu option and click **"RC Print (Form 23)"**.
  4. Enter your vehicle registration number, chassis number, and engine number.
  5. Validate using mobile OTP to load and download your digital RC Book PDF.
